This is a two cylinder marine engine.  It uses a single D-valve to feed
both (single acting) cylinders.  A cam on the driveshaft drives a rocker
arm to move the valve shaft.  The engine has no flywheel.  Instead the
heavy carriers on the crankshaft provide the inertia normally supplied
by a flywheel.
