The electrical compartment is fabricated from folded and welded 1/8" steel plate. The lathe was originally wired for 3 phase 460 volts. I rewound the control transformer for an input of 230 volts (upper leftish). The electrical components mount on a 1/2" think bakelite panel fitted with machine screw inserts.
